Port Blair, Sept. 13: In line with the endeavours of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to bolster the spirit of national pride across airports nationwide, the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has proposed 24-Hour Illuminated High-Mast Tricolour at VSI International Airport, Port Blair.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, the AAI has been instrumental in elevating the nation's pride by installing high-mast, 24-hour illuminated tricolours at various airports.

However, limited transportation options have sometimes hindered the movement of tourists and residents among these idyllic destinations. Recognizing this need, the Directorate of Shipping Services has introduced this new daily ferry service to cater to the growing demand for improved connectivity.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration will be observing ‘Hindi Fortnight-2023’ from September 14 to 28, 2023 in its offices and educational institutions. 'Hindi Diwas' will be celebrated in all Govt. offices and Educational Institutions on Sept.14, 2023. As part of the observance, various programmes have been chalked out for officers, employees of the Administration and students. To begin with, a Hindi Workshop for Nodal Officer (Official Language) and dealing staff (Hindi) of various offices of A&N Administration will be organized in the conference hall of Secretariat tomorrow (Sept.14) at 10 am wherein they will be briefed about Official Language Policy of GoI and duties and responsibilities of Nodal Officer (OL).
